Sam Levitt

Sam Levitt Sports Broadcaster - TV & Radio

Welcome! I’m a play-by-play broadcaster and host who currently works in a number of different roles in the broadcast industry:

I’m a TV play-by-play broadcaster with games seen on Big Ten Network, Comcast SportsNet Chicago, ESPN3, American Sports Network, Spectrum Sports Texas, Mediacom channels, and various collegiate digital platforms. I also work for the Corpus Christi Hooks, the Double-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, as a radio broadcaster and TV show host.

I have called games on TV and radio for a number of Division I athletic programs: Sam Houston State, UT-Rio Grande Valley, Fairleigh Dickinson, and Southern Illinois – Edwardsville. I also call a “Game of the Week” for high school football on the Texas Sports Radio Network.

From 2014 t0 2016, I was the play-by-play voice of the Gateway Grizzlies, a minor league baseball team in St. Louis. While working in that market, I also called Division I men’s and women’s basketball for Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in the Ohio Valley Conference. My radio work in St. Louis was aired on 101 ESPN, 590 KFNS, 550 KTRS, and 88.7 WSIE.

I graduated from Northwestern University in March 2014 with a degree from the Medill School of Journalism. I was the Sports Director of WNUR-FM and a broadcaster for NU sports on the Big Ten Digital Network. While in school, I was a broadcaster for the Orleans Firebirds in the Cape Cod Baseball League during the 2012 and 2013 seasons.

I’ve also worked as an on-air news reporter at WLNS-TV (CBS) in Lansing, Michigan. At Channel 6 News, I produced news packages for air, reported live from the field, and was responsible for reporting on a story every single day.

I can be reached via any of the contact information listed here. Thanks for stopping by!
